Iris is based at Makarios Teleport in Cyprus, one of the few Tier-4 fully certified sites by the World Teleport Association (WTA). The site is ideal for the provision of satellite services as it combines mild climatic conditions with a privileged geographical location. It provides visibility of the geostationary arc from 35° West to 105° East and numerous antennas can reach satellites with coverage ranging from the Americas to Japan and Australia.

Makarios Teleport has been in operation since 1980. The site is home to a large farm of earth stations operating with a broad collection of satellites from most major operators. A multitude of satellite links is provided in S, C, standard and extended Ku, DBS and Ka frequency bands. The Facility well equipped to provide a wide range of satellite services with suitable buildings and outdoor space supported with the appropriate infrastructure and the corresponding operational and security provisions. Makarios Teleport is well-served by Cyta’s telecommunications network, which offers diverse fibre connections both locally and internationally.
