Recognising the need to address diverse customer needs, Iris is utilising the international fibre network of Cyta to complement its satellite offering. These products provide integrated solutions to customers interested in delivering or receiving their services via fibre.

Cyta’s network has Main Points of Presence (POPs) in London, Marseilles, Frankfurt, Athens and Sofia and offers additional PoPs in Europe with international extensions around the globe. Multiple cable systems offer true diversity and resilience to the terrestrial network.

Iris is very well-placed to merge the fibre network with its satellite capabilities using modern technologies to offer integrated products to the market. Circuits with the appropriate protocols are offered in conjunction with satellite links, television broadcasting and satellite reception services. Both satellite and fibre links are monitored and controlled by an integrated team at the same location, achieving in this way fast fault identification and resolution.
